4th Aug 2025
⭐️ Ballymena LTC Player Spotlight ⭐️
A massive congratulations to Emma Mezei for a successful summer so far.
Yesterday she became winner of the Fethersons Ulster Junior Championship girls Under-9, 2025 🏆🎾
This victory is a cumulation of all the hard work that Emma has done on and off the court over the weeks and months prior.
This follows on from her two other tournaments — one at CIYMS and one at Cavehill. She reached the 3rd place play off at both. She finished as the top girl in the CIYMS Tennis Club Orange Ball Tournament and finished third place overall at the Cavehill Tennis Club.
Emma has learned from both her wins and losses, while over the summer on playing a wide variety of surfaces.
The main thing is she has enjoyed very minute of it, while making a lot of new friends along the way.
This morning at the club Emma was awarded Player of the Week for the first time. This is in celebration of her fantastic achievement this week.
Director of Coaching Barry Clarke stated,
“I have been working with Emma since she was 5 years old and to see her continue progressing is great to see.
We make sure everything we do at BLTC is in a fun and welcoming environment, to ensure Emma feels safe, listened to and respected.
The dedication Emma has shown is down to the commitment, dedication and support of her parents Csaba and Ella. They champion Emma at every match, and pick her up after a tough loss.
They are role models to all tennis parents on how to help their child progress in sport. Progression with no pressure, just love and enjoyment. This is key for keeping young people in our sport for years to come.”
Well done Emma!
We are incredibly proud of you.
