🎄Junior Xmas Social and House Match Play🧑‍🎄

22nd Dec 2025
This weekend the club hosted over 60 juniors for our Junior Christmas social night and House Match Competitions.

On Friday night the coaching team and junior committee organised a games night.

There was both on court and off court games throughout the evening, with non stop festive tunes.

The juniors were asked to come dressed in their best festive outfits!

Well done to Sophie, Imogen and Emma who all won the best festive outfit competition.

Girl’s Captain Catherine MacDonald organised a teenage red ball tournament, while Boy’s Captain Ashton Mui created a Christmas inspired quiz and some exciting games.

Well done to the “Sticky Bandits” team for winning this.

Ashton also provided festive music within the hall, playing his key board for the evening. We were very thankful for this contribution.

Junior committee representative Charlotte Neilly created a stick the carrot on the snowman game which as very well received by the juniors.

The parental support group were fantastic all evening, providing delicBallymena PizzaParlourall juniors, while helping distribute the food.

A special thank you must be given to Josie, Leanne, Karen A and Louise for helping ensure everyone was catered for.

Our club sponsor Ballymena PizzaParlour providing the juniors with 23 pizzas throughout the evening, these were delicious!

The club even managed to get The Grinch to make an appearance on Friday! He mostly behaved himself!

On Saturday the end of month house matches had a Christmas twist! All Saturday sessions had a “Present” theme.

The juniors were given a list of exceptional behaviours which they should show throughout their various matches at their sessions.

When the coach or junior volunteer sees one of these behaviours the player can pick a present from the present list.

They can’t use the same present again throughout the match plays.

The juniors loved this!

At the end of the Christmas weekend this is how many points were awarded to each house.

1st Place - House Rice (268) Points
2nd Place - House Parke (248) Points
3rd Place - House Crooks (243) Points
4th Place - House Cahill (220) Points

Take a look at the House Page on our website to see where this has left your house in standings!

A massive thank you to all our volunteer team this weekend who did a fantastic job. The commitment you have all shown this year is greatly appreciated.

Bring on 2026 for an even bigger year for the junior section!
