IMPORTANT TO READ BEFORE JOINING

Our main method of communication will be via the BLTC WhatsApp Group and the BLTC Website (www.BallymenaLawnTennisClub.net) the current whatsapp groups will remain as is until 30^th April at which time the new group set up for year 2026/27 for paid up members will be in place.

BLTC junior fee is to cover cost of coaches; courts; lighting (at Junior Club on Friday evenings and Saturday mornings/afternoons) insurance; equipment and bank charges. Capitation fees are included which BLTC pay annually to Ulster Tennis. To note, one to one private coaching with one of our qualified coaches is a private arrangement made between coach and player and payment for individual lessons to be made directly to coach.

A separate fee per match both home and away will apply to each individual player for league matches which must be paid to Barry Clarke who will lodge it with the Treasurer.  This money will cover league fees, insurance, court costs and balls.

BLTC senior fee is to cover cost of courts and lights at Senior Club on Tuesday and Thursday evenings (6.00 pm to 9.00 pm) and Saturday mornings/afternoons (11.00 am - 2.00 pm) insurance and bank charges.  Capitation fees are included which BLTC pay annually to Ulster Tennis. Junior Club –Please note that junior club will 4 x 10 week terms – provisional dates attached for junior members, dates for March/April/May will be confirmed as soon as fixtures for Senior Evergreen matches have been scheduled.  These are played on a Friday night.  Juniors will not lose out they will still have allocated 40 weeks (weather dependent of course):

Hourly slots will be available on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6.00 pm to 9.00 pm and Saturdays 11.00 am to 1.00 pm on 5 courts and Saturday 1.00 pm to 2.00 pm on 3 courts.  These will be reduced if League matches are to be played the same time as Club on Tuesday or Thursday evenings.

Ballymena Lawn Tennis Club Privacy Notice

Ballymena Lawn Tennis Club is collecting personal information from members for the following reasons:

• to ensure that the club member has paid annual fees.
• to enable the club to monitor club membership levels and share figures with UBTI (Governing Body) and this will be retained for 7 years.
• to highlight to members that member names and achievements may be contained in committee reports, AGM reports & Club noticeboard and these will be retained forever.
• to advise that if members undertake an Access NI check through the Club their name, role, Access NI number and date of check will be added to the Club Access NI monitor for 3 years.
• to advise members that personal information may be shared in the event of a child safeguarding issue (to be retained for 7 years) or disciplinary issue (to be retained for 6 years from the end of the complaint) with relevant bodies including e.g. PSNI, NSPCC, UBTI.
• to advise members if they put themselves forward for team selection their name, date of birth and results will be used for selection purposes by the Club Selection Committee and will be retained for 1 year.
• to advise members that if selected for a league team, UTA squad and/or Ulster Team their name will be shared with the league, squad or team organisers.
• to inform members that personal information added will be on the Club website until 7 years after the website contract ends.
• to inform members that the membership form will be retained by the Club for 1 year.
• advise members that Club Committee Post Holders and Safeguarding Officer names, telephone number and email address may be shared with UBTI in the annual Club Declaration Form and this will be retained for 7 years.
